About SewTonic

SewTonic is the name for my collection of sewing, quilting & home embroidery projects.    Creating something and having a finished project that is for myself or for someone else is a ‘stimulating and invigorating’ process, hence the name “Sew ” and “Tonic” was created for my company name.  I have a passion for sewing, focusing on bag making, quilting and machine embroidery.

My name is Anna Farrell and I have sewn since I was a child.   I was taught by my mother to make things for myself.  The evolution of my sewing started with dolls clothes making as a child, clothes making as a teenager, and young adult,  quilts as a young mother, and now I am bag making and exploring machine embroidery.

I work part-time as a Registered Nurse  in acute palliative care and my work has given me many ideas for projects and many of my projects are for nurses.  Nurses are a group of creative souls who value unique, special things (and people).  I love to celebrate nurses!

Another interest for me is specialty sewing/custom work.   I have made weighted blankets, wheelchair blankets, custom hats, (epidural) pump bags, g-tube button protectors and heated rice bags.

Contact Anna via email sewtonic@gmail.com for any custom work inquiries.
